We shot these winter family photos up near Jordan Pines in Big Cottonwood Canyon. Although it was cold, the snowy weather was perfect and the sun shined through the trees. It was such a beautiful day! We saw lots of sledders and people snowshoeing, and they all commented on how cute this family is (I know!).
I first shot with the Hass family about 3 years ago when they only had their oldest child, Maverick. We’ve done 4 (or more?) sessions, in various seasons, since! It’s always such a treat to see them and take their photos. You can always see light through their faces! Throughout this cold session, they were troopers and the kids would get all bundled up between shots and had a fun time pushing their wagon up and down the snowy slopes. This is a great way to keep kids entertained during family photos.
I loved the outfits they chose for their winter family photos: creamy colors with some contrast always looks so stunning with the snow!
