Lifestyle Home Session | Utah Family Photographer

Lifestyle In-Home Session | Utah Family Photographer.

As I was lying in bed last night, I thought about how incredible my job is. I love being a Utah family photographer for so many reasons, but one word that stood out to me as I was drifting off was “intention”. Intention is the word that I want to define my work. Thinking back on the countless family sessions I have done over the years, the ones that I love the most are the shoots where I was bringing a vision to life the whole time.

That’s why I love this session so much.

Just about every frame I took I thought of exactly what I wanted it to look like. I had some fun playing with some blurry motion, some darker images, and some bright and clean images too. In doing this, the family session came to life, and we see each personality shine through the images. This shoot had tons of variety and needless to say I am obsessed. We created some art together which is one of my biggest goals for 2021: to make every session feel like art.

The Ang family is incredible. I first shot with Alexis and Matt a few years ago when they were pregnant with their adorable son Roen. I have followed along through social media and have watched Roen grow into a little toddler through Instagram; when the opportunity came up to shoot with them again I jumped on it immediately, because I mean… come on. Can you blame me?

It was so fun to catch up with them while we shot, they are expecting their second child in August (Cannot. Wait) and Alexis is training to be a master esthetician which I also cannot wait for.

I loved getting some blurry motion on this set of images.

This session reminded me that there is beauty in the seemingly mundane. What was probably just a normal day for the Ang family- playing, reading, relaxing- turned into some incredible images and memories.

If you know me, you know I am obsessed with some good dramatic light. I could stare at these images all day!
When we went to take some pictures on the bed Roen reached out for an old picture of his dad that was on the bedside table. So, so cute!

Do you love these images as much as I do? Let’s work together! Contact me here and lets make some magic, or view more of my work by following me on Instagram.
