Seeing clients regularly is one of my favorite things about being a family photographer. Every year or two, families will book me for updated family portraits and it always makes me so happy. This family is one of the best there is. They are gorgeous, kind, hilarious, and lots more. I first met them after working with one of their daughters, Lexi, on a styled shoot in 2016. She’s a makeup artist and it’s been fun to work on a few projects together. I’ve taken her family photos and extended family photos ever since.
We chose the Utah State Capitol cherry blossoms for our location. These beautiful cherry blossoms appear once a year for a few short weeks in April. The pink blossoms are unlike anywhere else. State Capitol family sessions are a challenge. Crowds of photographers, families, and seniors cover the property during cherry blossom season. Despite the crowds, I love shooting here because it the scenery is magical in photos.
