Something I love about Utah is the variety of locations that are around. In the summer, there are so many options on where to take your family photos. Personally, I love anything green and lush, so meadows, green rolling hills, or dense forests are my favorite. When choosing a location for your summer family photos in Utah, it’s pretty hard to go wrong because there is so much beauty everywhere. But, there are a few hidden gems that I love because they aren’t crowded and they are beautiful and green!
This location is one of my favorites in the summer time. It’s one of my favorites that I’ve found because it’s absolutely stunning in the evening light, and it’s safe and fun for kids. This location is best from June to October, so keep that in mind when scheduling your family pictures!
A tip that I love for summer family photos is to bring snacks and drinks for your kids (and yourself!). It can get quite warm outside, so having snacks and drinks for the kids will help them stay happy and calm. And everybody loves a snack, right?
I loved this session with the Huber family. Family photos really can be fun, and it’s always my goal to make them that way! Their little son was so energetic and fun, and their whole family dynamic was so sweet and playful. They came to their family session totally prepared, and it made everything stress-free and easy! I also loved the colors they wore: neautrals, mauves, and blues photograph so beautifully, especially when shooting on a green backdrop. They really nailed every detail!
