One of the top location requests I get each year is for wildflowers! There so many amazing locations available, and I can’t wait to share more about wildflower family photos in Utah! Depending on the month, you can find several different types of wildflowers in Utah!
In late May, Utah has beautiful yellow wildflowers in the lower-elevation areas. Some of my favorite places to find these are Ensign Peak trailhead, Provo Canyon, and along the Bonneville Shoreline Trail. Some locations have yellow flowers that bloom as late as mid-June!
One of my favorite locations in the whole world has wildflowers in mid-May. These white wildflowers can be found in lots of parks throughout the state including along the Jordan River Parkway trail. Below is my favorite meadow with beautiful white wildflowers. It’s best in mid-May to early June.
If you’re looking for purple wildflowers, June is an amazing time to have your family photos taken. My go-to spot is in Provo Canyon. I love how dreamy the view is with the wildflowers and the mountain views behind.
In Utah, peak wildflower season in the mountains falls in July. This is when you’ll see locations like Albion Basin, Guardsman Pass, and other high-elevation locations fill with stunning wildflowers of every color. These sessions book very early, so if you want to have your photos in these high-elevation locations, reach out early!
