I am so excited to show you this beautiful newborn session that I did this winter. In-home newborn sessions are my absolute favorite, it’s such a document connection in your special space, and I love that. Making sessions meaningful is my jam, and it’s an absolute honor that I am able to do this as my job!
Some helpful tips for your in-home newborn session:
- Most importantly, don’t stress! I want this to be a relaxing and fun experience for you! Take your time during the session: feed when you need to, change when you need to, and soak up every moment!
- Schedule your newborn session in advance. Scheduling your newborn session a few weeks before your baby is born will ensure that we can do the session while your baby is still fresh. This helps things go smoother, and helps us get the shots that you want. I recommend doing you session when the baby is 5-10 days old.
- Wear something you feel beautiful in for your newborn session. You just had a baby, you are a rockstar! Choose an outfit that boosts your confidence whether that means ordering something new, or choosing a tried-and-true staple from your closet. Wondering what to wear? - Have a few areas in your house prepped. Choose a couple of rooms that you’d like to focus on for your session and make sure they are tidy. Don’t worry about your whole house being perfectly clean, focusing on a couple of small areas can help reduce stress and make you feel prepared. As your newborn photographer, I am happy to give suggestions on which rooms we can focus on!
- Choose a few outfits for baby. I am a big fan of neutral outfits and light colors for newborn sessions. Simple onesies are perfect for the focus to be on you and the baby.
